Responsibilities
Develop and grow a world-class team of Brand and Product Designers
Create design processes that champion an iterative, fast-paced, data-driven design philosophy
Partner with Product leadership to craft a product vision, and lead execution
Bring your world-class design and brand taste to modernize our community engagement tools
Develop user research best practices. Ensure consistent feedback loops in our Design cycles
Elevate Goodparty.org’s brand and visual identity
Champion the use of AI across your team. Set standards that emphasize velocity
Obsess over the user experience and design accessible interfaces that work seamlessly for people with varying levels of ability
Maintain high empathy in all facets of your team’s work
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience leading Design teams in a consumer internet company or a consumer-quality SaaS company
Managed a team of at least 3 direct reports
3+ years of individual contributor experience, for a total of 5+ years of product design experience
Highly skilled in both responsive web design and native mobile applications
Highly proficient with design tools like Figma, Maze, etc
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
Build strong User Research practices to better understand your users
Strong communication skills
Ability to bring a clear creative direction from the highest level but are hands-on living and breathing the details
Preferred
Led Brand teams and have a Brand Design or Agency background
Experience studying, working, or volunteering in politics, political activism, or democracy reform
