Responsibilities
Support the daily operation of web presses and ensure smooth production flow
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized press area
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials like ink, paper, and plates are ready to go
Assist in quality checks — inspecting printed materials for accuracy in color, registration, and specifications every 15 minutes
Step in to run the press when the operator is on breaks, lunches, or PTO
Help with setup and maintenance tasks such as washing blankets, plates, and fountains
Prepare and load roll stock for printing and inspect rolls for defects
Accurately record production data, materials used, and downtime
Perform light preventive maintenance and keep equipment ready for the next run
Safely move materials and finished products (up to 50 lbs) as needed
Participate in training and cross-training opportunities to expand your skills
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to operate press without supervision
3+ years prior production machine operating experience
Must be able to identify colors and imperfections
Must display excellent work habits willingness to be a team player
Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement
Must have strong analytical skills independent thinking and written and verbal communications skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
