Mechanical Repair Technician V FAA (Team Lead) - 2nd Shift (Onsite)
RTX is a leader in aerospace technology, seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician V FAA (Team Lead) to provide technical support and lead training initiatives. The role involves performing repair and overhaul operations, coordinating production activities, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities
Perform repair and overhaul on products to as per customer specifications
Support personnel technical training needs as identified by the VSM and/or business needs
Train employees on product line within cell, oversee, monitor the work performed by any individual being trained
Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, refer to the most complex issues to higher levels
Answer all technical support questions to production staff and Value Stream Manager(s)
Coordinate and prioritize production control activity requirements to meet production goals
Comply with all of RTX and Collins Aerospace policies and procedures, regulations, and any required training involving EH&S, Ethics, Continuous Improvement (CORE) and Quality
Support Business Unit Leader(s) with all initiatives to achieve operational effectiveness such as: Turn around-time, Quality, Customer Service, EH&S, Human Resources
Coordinate manpower requirements within the shop to meet production demands
Participate in CORE and Quality initiatives to drive organization efficiency and effectiveness
Will interact with customers and auditors
Will lead, co-lead and implement projects relating to business objectives
Will utilize scheduler (MROLife) to meet estimated product ship dates
Support DT projects and executions
Qualification
Required
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience Certification or credentials may be required for some roles
Experience with technical sheets, work instructions, or blueprints
Preferred
AA/AS degree required or a minimum of 10+ years work experience within the aviation industry, unsupervised assembly, disassembly for all products and functions in Accessories, Avionics, and Electric Power Shop
Mechanic or Repair Station Certificate required per 14 CFR Part 65
A&P license
CORE Associate (RTX) or certified in continuous improvement
