Associated Wholesale Grocers is the nation’s largest cooperative food wholesaler to independently owned supermarkets. They are seeking a Supply Chain Management Intern to gain hands-on experience in supply chain operations, focusing on inventory management, shipment coordination, and logistics optimization.

Responsibilities

Gain direct experience with all aspects of supply chain management that ensures products move seamlessly from suppliers to member retailers

Maintain the flow of goods that keep shelves stocked

Play a critical role in delivering products on time and at the best possible cost by managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and optimizing logistics

Required

Supply Chain Management major

Junior or senior level students preferred. Recent grads acceptable

Solid communication skills

Strong organization skills

Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, ability to follow up

Initiative, enthusiasm to learn and ability to follow direction

Ability to commit to a full-time, 40 hour per week, 10-week internship, with the possibility to work overtime as needed. Including regular and reliable attendance throughout the program

Travel to AWG Support Center in Kansas City, MO for end of year presentation to executive leadership team

Relocation for possible full-time positions
