Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses or other Medical Professional
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
Take patient histories
Measure and monitor vital signs
Prepare patients for examinations
Assist with minor procedures

Qualification

BLS certificationMedical Assistant CertificationPatient care experienceCommunication skillsTeamwork

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required
Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), the AMT (American Medical Technologists), NAHP (The National Association of Healthcare Professions), the ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants), or the NHA (National Healthcare Association)
Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs
Standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling
