Responsibilities

Develop and assess innovative aerodynamic designs for advanced gas turbine turbines to meet performance goals (efficiency and flow capacity)

Perform steady and unsteady Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis to predict component performance and understand complex flow phenomena

Analyze engine and aircraft flight data to evaluate in-service performance, troubleshoot operational problems, and recommend performance-enhancing modifications

Collaborate on the planning and execution of rig and engine tests, including instrumentation definition and data reduction efforts

Interface with mechanical design and heat transfer teams to ensure integrated, optimized designs that balance aerodynamic performance with structural integrity and cooling requirements

Apply multi-disciplinary optimization techniques to balance performance with other engine metrics
