Senior Director, Sales Strategy - Retail Strategy & Operations - Walmart Connect
Walmart Canada is seeking an experienced and visionary leader for the Senior Director, Sales Strategy position within Walmart Connect. This role will lead the Retail Strategy and Operations team, driving enterprise-wide initiatives and shaping long-term strategy across various departments within Walmart US.

Responsibilities
Own multiple high-visibility enterprise workstreams, acting as the driver and face of Walmart Connect to align strategies and KPIs across Walmart US
Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives that enable sales, elevate stores as a media channel, and unlock new monetization opportunities
Partner with leaders inside and outside of Walmart Connect to position WMC as a world-class retail media leader, influencing industry standards and advancing Walmart’s leadership in commerce and advertising
Support and scale the Enterprise Enablement team, ensuring WMC sales strategies align with Enterprise assortment priorities (e.g., MSP, CVP) and key business initiatives
Design and implement enterprise-wide processes and SOPs to embed retail media into Walmart’s commercial planning cycles
Build and present compelling business cases and ROI frameworks to demonstrate value creation and influence senior stakeholders
Own, drive, and optimize the One Walmart (1W) enterprise business planning framework in collaboration with Merchandising, Site, and Enterprise Marketing
Create and roll out organization-wide playbooks and training programs to scale best practices across SBUs
Lead the newly formed Store Ads Enablement function led by the Director of Enterprise Enablement and the Director of Experiential ensuring customer-first, brand-safe experiences across Walmart’s in-store media network
Support the scaling of the 1W enterprise operating framework to Store Operations stakeholders across our 4,700+ US stores
Support Stores team to develop Walmart’s first in-store ads governance policies, content standards, and device management processes
Serve as Walmart Connect’s senior business lead for Stores Ads, overseeing the total Store ads business including WBRs, QBRs and pipeline management
Oversee the partnership with the Retail Brand Experiences (RBX) team in Enterprise Marketing to ensure alignment with the 'Store as a Media Channel' strategy
Own Store Ads device and content management systems to ensure operational excellence and flawless execution
Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team
Establish a culture of curiosity, resilience, and continuous learning
Encourage diverse perspectives and foster collaboration across functions, geographies, and cultures
Teach and mentor associates across Walmart Connect on retail media and the Walmart Stores business
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or related field
12+ years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or media (preferably within a large, complex organization)
8+ years of leadership experience, including leading leaders and driving enterprise-wide strategy
Proven ability to influence senior executives and drive alignment in highly matrixed organizations
Strong analytical, financial acumen, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while delivering measurable results
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related area
10 years' experience in sales operations or related area
5 years' leadership experience in sales operations or related area
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree in Business or Strategy
Expertise in Merchandising or eCommerce at Walmart
Experience in retail media or sales enablement
Familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, or other enterprise data/insights platforms
Demonstrated track record of building new processes, organizations, or centers of excellence
Recognized industry thought leader with strong executive presence
Master's degree in finance, business, or related area
