Qualification
Required
Candidates for introductory courses (100- or 200- level) must have at least a Master's degree in the field relevant to the Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies curriculum
We require a Ph.D. or extensive professional experience for teaching upper-division courses (300- or 400- level)
Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally range of students, including first-generation college students
Preferred
Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and strong teaching evidence
Highly desirable is a candidate who can work effectively with a broad mix of students, including those with diverse cultural backgrounds, and varying socioeconomic and family college-going experiences
Preference will also be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment
Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities
