The Solar Site Surveyor will conduct on-site studies for residential projects, taking measurements and completing shade reporting for solar panel installation.
Responsibilities
Documenting electrical set-up and capabilities and any existing structure or facility variances
Survey residential home projects with a drone, taking photos at various heights and angles
Attending project, weekly operational, and safety meetings
Effective, accurate & timely communications with Service and Install Dept
Daily reporting, Computer Skills, Emails, Uploads, and SWF reporting
Assist other departments as directed
Qualification
Required
Part 107 FAA certification
OSHA 10 required
Valid Apprentice Electrician license required
Must have a valid state driver's license
Must be willing to travel/commute to various job sites at least 40%, including some weekends, are requested
Possess strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Excellent customer service skills required
Must be highly organized and process-oriented
Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs and climb ladders
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift
Ability to work in 100+ degree weather
Preferred
At least 1 year of experience in construction, solar or PV strongly preferred
Prior experience and knowledge of residential electrical projects
Must be able to navigate residential roofing systems including multi-story structures
