Penske Automotive Group is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team and support business operations in the accounting department. The Staff Accountant will assist in preparing monthly reconciliations and analysis reports, as well as providing management assistance for the dealership network.

Responsibilities

Support our dealership network by assisting the Controller and Assistant Controller in the daily operations of the accounting department

Assist in preparing monthly reconciliation for all dealership accounts

Prepare weekly and monthly analysis reports

Offer dealership management assistance as needed

Ensure that our Penske Automotive Group dealerships run effectively and efficiently by accurately performing accounting duties as assigned

Support the accounting department ensuring accuracy in reconciliation of all accounts, ACH daily transactions, recording and coding incoming checks and all other duties quickly and accurately

Understand and comply with all regulations that affects the accounting department, and perform tasks accurately, fairly and in accordance with local, state and federal statutes, as well as company policies

Required

Experience in accounting or related field

Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills relevant to a Staff Accountant position

Commitment to ensure that our Penske Automotive Group dealerships run effectively and efficiently by accurately performing accounting duties as assigned

Excellence in supporting the accounting department ensuring accuracy in reconciliation of all accounts, ACH daily transactions, recording and coding incoming checks and all other duties quickly and accurately

Accountability to understand and comply with all regulations that affect the accounting department, and perform tasks accurately, fairly and in accordance with local, state and federal statutes, as well as company policies

Possession of a valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required
