Sr Technical Program Manager, Vehicle Hardware

The Senior Technical Program Manager will support vehicle hardware design and development, analyze problems, manage schedules, and drive alignment across company functions to ensure the successful execution of the Terran R program.

Responsibilities

Analyze requirements, resources, and dependencies to create a reliable timeline for vehicle hardware delivery and rally the team to meet it
Create and maintain master schedules that drive the program forward
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with program execution, ensuring proactive problem resolution to address risks coming down the pipeline
Spearhead the creation and continual refinement of effective, lightweight processes that help the team work more efficiently and improve collaboration between teams
Build buy-in within the team and key partners to implement processes effectively
Identify resource gaps and orchestrate cross-functional planning for resource allocation, including headcount, budget allocation, and workspace needs
Ensure efficient utilization of resources to support program and departmental objectives
Monitor and report on the progress towards organizational goals, objectives, and milestones
Facilitate strong communication within departments and across the program to ensure transparency in program status for all relevant stakeholders

Required

5+ years experience in a program management role on a complex technical hardware project; prefer experience with software and operations as well
Experience managing programs across matrix organizations, building sustainable processes, and coordinating design releases and key engineering trades
Proven ability to deliver complex hardware programs
Proven ability to lead by influence and collaborate with technical owners (engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, test, and launch) to establish a plan without crowding out their ownership

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related fields; aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering degree preferred
Experience with launch vehicles and aerospace hardware
Strong executive presence, including ability to drive clarity and action across all levels within the company
Experience and measurable evidence of solving ambiguous problems, including the introduction of new tools and processes
PMP, MBA, Master's in engineering, science, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred
