Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert for VEIT’s solutions within government and education verticals
Leverage consultative selling techniques tailored to public-sector needs, focusing on cybersecurity, managed IT, print infrastructure, device lifecycle management, and workflow optimization
Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within school districts, colleges/universities, and government agencies
Manage leads from marketing efforts and convert them into closed sales
Build additional opportunities within existing accounts through Quarterly Business Reviews
Develop strong, long-term relationships with agency stakeholders, administrators, IT directors, and procurement officials
Achieve activity goals, including cold calls, appointments, and proposals
Meet or exceed assigned sales quota
Participate in sales blitzes and company-wide initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent required
3+ Years experience selling in public sector environments including K-12 school districts, higher learning institutions, municipal, county, and state agencies
Knowledge of public sector procurement requirements such as RFPs, bidding rules, agency budget cycles, etc
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and solve problems independently
A team-oriented mindset with ownership of work performed
Ability to assess customer needs and deliver clear, compelling solutions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid state driver's license required

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree
Experience selling Managed IT solutions, Printers, Copiers, cybersecurity, or other IT Services
Previous sales experience
