Responsibilities

Independently review and validate credit references using internal and external sources, including credit reporting services
Analyze financial statements and credit data to assess risk and recommend credit limits for new and existing customers
Make trade credit decisions within established guidelines; escalate high-risk or exceptions to leadership
Partner with Collections, Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to resolve disputes and ensure compliance with contractual terms
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (days in review, DSO, collection effectiveness, bad debt exposure) and recommend process improvements
Ensure adherence to SOX controls, company credit policies, and regulatory requirements
Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives within the credit and collections function
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, act as a resource for best practices and system expertise
Lead or participate in special projects related to credit risk management
Communicate credit decisions and policies clearly to internal stakeholders and customers
Perform other related duties as required

Required

4+ years of credit and collections experience
Strong knowledge of credit risk management and North American credit laws
Proven ability to analyze financial data and make sound credit decisions
Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
Proficiency in Workday, Salesforce, Blackline, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
