Maintenance Specialist, Instrumentation & Controls
Venture Global LNG is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The Maintenance Specialist, Instrumentation & Controls will support the maintenance management system development for the CPX pipeline system and compressor station, acting as a subject matter expert for instrumentation and controls systems.

Responsibilities
Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Instrumentation & Controls systems
Understanding of requirements needed to execute control system (DCS, PLCs, SIS, F&G and stand-alone applications) maintenenance work
Understand maintenance work scope and applicable Operations and Maintenance processes and procedures
Understand the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance electrical work according to VG Pipeline HSSE process, procedures, standards and regulations
Familiar with measurement systems and flow computers
Familiar with API RPs associated with pipeline design and operation
Provide tracking, status reporting, and project progress updates to project management
Responsible for population of Load Sheets associated with the workstream
Functions as interface between Maintenance, Engineering and other VG departments
Functions as SME for industrial communications protocols and control networks
Coordinate identification of local suppliers for spare data/pricing information (missing)
Responsible to populate missing core tag data in SPILs as required
Responsible to submit MM creation based on vendor recommended spares where missing or as required for BOM development
Responsible to map MMs to associated SPIL once identified for BOM development
Support Material Management (as needed):
Optimization of spare parts (Interchangeability, commodity items, repairable items, and vendor consignment options)
Workshops to document the spare part and BOM design
Gathering and review SPIR/SPIL lists per vendor package/PO
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Technical degree, or applicable nationally recognized standard Certification. (i.e. NCCER / NICET)
Minimum Five years of maintenance electrical technician work experience in Oil & Gas, Midstream operations
Strong knowledge of electrical industrial standards and regulations (i.e. ISA, NFPA 70E, FERC, etc)
Strong work experience maintaining and troubleshooting controls systems, dedicated applications, Analyzer and F&G, such as – but not limited to, System administration, backup/recovery programs, access control, alarm management, and cybersecurity interfaces
Strong experience maintaining and troubleshooting DCS/SIS/PLCs and dedicated applications systems
Experience with GC Analyzer Systems as well as F&G Systems (field and buildings)
Applied knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of dedicated application systems such as, but not limited to, rotating machinery vibration and speed monitoring systems, tank gauging systems
Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial network communication systems (hardware and software)
Experience with MOC, PSSR, HAZID/HAZOP
Strong leadership and organizational skills are required
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies
Organized, strong planning skills, able to manage multiple activities in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines
Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strategic planning & operational excellence
Commitment to the highest safety and quality standards
Preferred
Maintenance planning and scheduling experience preferred
Experience with the following systems is preferred: Allen Bradley Control Logix and GuardLogix, GE MarkVIe and MarkVIeS
Knowledge with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process). SAP experience is preferred
Periodic travel to project sites and consultant offices
TWIC holder or ability to obtain TWIC
