Process/ Product Engineer

Wilbert Plastic Services is a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings, specializing in custom-engineered wire and cable for mission-critical applications. The Process/Product Design Engineer will design and optimize production processes while also developing and enhancing products to meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot manufacturing processes as needed
Identify and implement manufacturing improvements to increase efficiencies, improve quality and reduce costs
Work with maintenance to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment
Provide training to production personnel on the proper operation of equipment
Run trials for qualification samples and new products
Investigate quality issues and implement corrective action as needed
Develop and maintain all manufacturing instructions
Develop and maintain costing for all products
Design new products by selecting appropriate materials and cable designs that will meet the required specifications
Obtain qualifications (QPL) for any new navy cables and maintaining qualification retention every 3 years of current navy products
Provide technical support and customer service for all products
Coordinate with UL for new listings and maintenance of current listings
Provide support for UL onsite inspections

Required

Strong Product Engineering and Product Design skills with attention to detail
Expertise in Process Control and Analytical Skills
Strong self-starter with the ability to drive innovation
Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and improving manufacturing processes
Excellent Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Ability to work full-time on-site in York, PA

Preferred

Experience in navy shipboard cable is beneficial
