Responsibilities

Partner with key stakeholders to lead surveillance oversight and governance committees and report on remediation and modernization initiatives
Streamline and enhance reporting across regional committees and boards, ensuring operational issues are tracked and resolved
Collaborate with compliance, technology, and business teams to plan and execute regulatory initiatives and surveillance enhancements
Manage and monitor regulatory and audit findings to ensure timely remediation and effective resolution
Coordinate reviews of internal and external events to identify root causes, emerging risks, and areas for process improvement
Maintain and update departmental surveillance procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency
Support regulatory inquiries and data requests related to communications surveillance
Prepare summaries, presentations, and briefing materials for senior governance and board meetings
Contribute to process improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Provide ongoing reporting and management information to ensure proper oversight of surveillance operations and issues

Required

Experience in trade surveillance and regulatory compliance within the financial services industry
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and frameworks related to trade surveillance
Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams and projects
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement
Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including compliance, technology, and business teams
Experience in preparing reports and presentations for senior management and governance bodies
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
