ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN II

The Electrical Engineering Technician II will install and support Intelligent Transportation Systems, engaging in complex systems work and assisting in project planning and implementation.

Responsibilities
Installs, configures, tests and troubleshoots systems and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) equipment that are part of the district's Transportation Management System (TMS)
Works independently at a journey level and engages in complex layout work
Includes process control networks, telecommunications systems, microwave communications systems, video display systems, electrical and mechanical systems that are associated with the Transportation Management Center (TMC) and Field Element Network (FEN)
Prepares, constructs and installs ITS field equipment as part of the district's capital support program
Assists in the preparation and/or review of plans, specifications and cost estimates for projects installing ITS facilities

Required
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment

Unofficial, original, or official sealed transcripts will be accepted and may be required upon appointment
Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a transcript/degree U.S. equivalency report evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign coursework is equivalent
