This role oversees daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while managing a diverse team and supporting the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

Supervise, lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team of Accounting professionals (onshore and offshore) to ensure timely and accurate recording of restaurant and brand level revenues and expenses

Supervise the timely and efficient month-end close process to ensure accuracy of individual restaurant and brand level financial data

Assign and review work to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

Train team members on accounting procedures, system updates, and best practices

Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development

Work with internal and external IT partners to ensure data movement timeliness and accuracy

Work closely with Brand Operations and Brand Finance teams regarding sales, expenses, inventory and actual vs theoretical cost of sales

Perform analysis to determine appropriate accounting of certain rebates

Analyze, evaluate and implement, as necessary, process improvements related to the Restaurant Accounting process and perform quality and control audit reviews of all processes in assigned area

Represent Restaurant Accounting on project teams

Ensure SOX compliance and manage internal and external audits

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience

At least 2 years of supervisory experience

Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with both internal and external partners, using clear written, verbal, and one-on-one communication

Proven leadership ability to align day-to-day operations of a team with organizational goals, ensuring consistency compliance and accurate data deliver

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

Proven track record in driving process improvements and delivering superior customer service

Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, MenuLink)
