They are looking for an experienced Field Survey Technician who will perform surveying, mapping, and data collection activities under the guidance of a Senior Surveyor. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of field survey data and maintaining tools and vehicles used in the process.

Responsibilities

Loads vehicles with tools and equipment, ensuring materials are loaded correctly

May be required to drive company vehicle to reach jobsites

Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment

Verifies the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites, and prepare maps or sketches of work performed in the field daily

Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

Required

Working knowledge of field survey methods and calculations

Working knowledge of local survey laws, rules, and regulations

Developing understanding of field instrumentation, GPS, and robotic total stations

Good cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team

Good math skills, including algebra and trigonometry

Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record

Associate's degree or technical school

1-3 years of related work experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience

Willingness to travel for a week or two at the most at a time
