Responsibilities
Perform painting, including advanced techniques such as precise cut-in work
Complete simple demolition and site clean-up tasks
Safely handle and install items (e.g., televisions, shelving)
Assemble furniture, fixtures, and related items
Conduct basic drywall repairs and finishing
Execute light framing and basic construction tasks
Apply basic caulking and sealant procedures
Perform basic door adjustments and hardware installations
Operate power washing equipment for driveways and soft house washing
Follow all safety standards and company protocols, including those set by the State of Texas and ABC Home and Commercial Services
Communicate professionally with customers and team members, ensuring a positive service experience
Participate in company-sponsored training and development opportunities
Maintain a professional appearance and uphold ABC’s core values in all interactions
Complete assigned jobs efficiently and within designated timeframes
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support a positive team environment
Qualification
Required
Minimum of one year experience in handyman, construction, or related roles
Proficient in painting (including advanced cut-in), minor demolition, clean-up, and assembly
Skilled in light framing and basic drywall repair
Experienced with basic power washing for driveways and soft house washing
Capable of performing basic door adjustments and hardware installations
Knowledgeable in basic caulking procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attendance and reliability
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Comfortable working in confined spaces
Frequent walking, climbing, bending, twisting, and lifting (up to 60 pounds)
Operates a company vehicle safely and efficiently, following pre-assigned daily routes
Assumes responsibility for basic vehicle maintenance, including tire condition, replacement, brake checks, and timely oil changes
Maintains strict adherence to all safety protocols and relevant driving regulations, reporting any work-related injuries immediately to designated supervisors
Complies with established company vehicle usage policies and upholds a clean driving record
Promptly reports any auto accidents to the Branch Manager within one hour of occurrence
Maintains an active Texas driver's license and provides updated copies to Human Resources
