They are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to configure and maintain Linux-based servers, support enterprise application hosting, and ensure system reliability for a Government customer.

Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Linux-based servers and support the development, testing, and production hosting of custom enterprise business applications on behalf of a Government customer
Contribute to application and database migration activities
Develop scripts for automation of build-out, maintenance, and configuration of virtualized systems
Deploy updates, IAVA patches, and Anti-Virus updates
Maintain web application hosting systems including web servers, database servers, and associated development systems (e.g., Team Foundation Server)
Ensure system reliability and uptime of production applications by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
Support system configuration management in accordance with contract inventory and customer requirements
Create, update, and maintain technical documentation including process diagrams, standard operating procedures, and system documentation
Coordinate with customer ISSE to ensure security accreditation of all project IT systems, including writing documentation and plans to comply with ICD 503 and customer-specific security requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, Scientific Linux, Debian, Amazon L2)
Experience with system patching, hardening, and STIGing
Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS, Amazon Fargate, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, OpenShift or Hashicorp
IAT Level 2 Certification or higher
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (C2S) systems administration
Ability to manage multiple priority tasks
Proactive in identifying and initiating tasks
Strong time management skills
Availability to work hours from 7am – 3pm
Preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
AWS Certification (AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS SysOps)
Experience deploying AWS features (Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancer, CloudWatch, Lambda, Elastic Container Service)
Familiarity with scripting tools (PowerShell, JSON, BASH, and Python)
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Understanding of ICD 503 security compliance requirements
