Field Service Engineer- San Francisco, CA

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for onsite installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of Leica equipment, ensuring high-quality customer service and collaboration with the sales and service teams.
Responsibilities
Visit customers (primarily universities and biotech companies) for preventive maintenance actions, fault analysis, upgrades, installation, maintenance, and repair to achieve optimum customer care delivering professional service with effective working practices
Support Sales Representatives in activities such as installations and demo/exhibitions
Collaborate closely with the Service Team to ensure all customers in the region are provided professional after-sales service, including exchanging valuable information resulting from customer contacts to increase customer happiness and sales
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years' experience and/or vocational training in a technical, scientific, or engineering background or relevant military experience
Electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50lbs
Ability to stand, walk (prolonged), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms
