Associate Manager, Revenue Accounting

Responsibilities

Actively participate in and support the monthly, quarterly and year-end global revenue accounting close process
Own specific areas of revenue accounting, including review of journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting and disclosure deliverables
Maintain deferred revenue and/or reserves/allowance schedules, investigate fluctuations, apply critical judgement, and participate in the associated accounting processes
Design, implement, and document processes related to revenue transactions and reporting. Recommend improvements to reports and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Ensure adherence to and proper documentation of SOX processes and internal controls related to order-to-cash
Manage and prioritize the day-to-day operations and ad-hoc requests of the Revenue Accounting team
Mentor, supervise and provide guidance to revenue accountants
Foster and maintain a work environment that aligns with The Trade Desk culture, promoting accountability and growth
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Credit & Collections, Deal Desk, FP&A, Billings, Technical Accounting, among others) to ensure all transactions and processes are completed accurately and in accordance with accounting practices
Partner with external auditors to ensure timely and efficient audits
Lead and/or participate in special projects, as needed

Required

Minimum 4-6 years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or public company industry experience
Prior supervisory or managerial experience is a plus. Revenue Accounting experience is a plus
A four-year degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field preferred
Strong knowledge of GL operational accounting
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks across stakeholders and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
Experience with an ERP system (Oracle Cloud experience a plus)
