Associate Physicist / Physicist - Advanced Test Capabilities
Northrop Grumman is a leader in advanced development of semiconductor system solutions for military, aerospace, and commercial markets. They are seeking an Associate Physicist / Physicist to design, test, and integrate software for next generation high-performance computing solutions in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities
Develop software framework to conduct novel experiments on superconducting devices
Debug existing software tools and support implementation of new capabilities
Support the current and future development of test platforms within function, cost and schedule constraints
Document and implement test requirements and procedures
Review test plans for accuracy and completeness
Support experimental physics team; develop novel measurement procedures and processes utilizing existing software suite
Qualification
Required
Completed Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 6+ months of relevant technical experience
Experience working in a lab environment or research setting in physics, electronics, or related area
Experience with strong communication skills and to work on a diverse multi-disciplinary team
Experience independently solving problems in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of 1 years' experience (relevant course work, internships and/or professional experience) in an object-oriented programming language (such as: Python, C++, Java, or other)
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customer's requirements
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 2 years of relevant technical experience; Master's degree in STEM related field with a minimum of 6 months of relevant technical experience
Experience working in a lab environment or research setting in physics, electronics, or related area
Experience with strong communication skills and to work on a diverse multi-disciplinary team
Experience independently solving problems in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of 1 years' experience (relevant course work, internships and/or professional experience) in an object-oriented programming language (such as: Python, C++, Java, or other)
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary US Government security clearance per customer's requirements
Preferred
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Python
Experience designing and executing experiments in a physics or electronics research environment
Experience with bench/lab testing of electronic devices
Experience with low-noise, low-temperature superconducting device or quantum device testing
Ability to automate experimental tasks using high level and built-in software languages
Experience working in version-controlled, collaborative software development environment
Experience with integrating theory, design, and testing methodology to improve the product development cycle within an agile framework
An active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph
