Responsibilities
You will architect the backend systems that serve our proprietary Omni models
You will help define how models are served, scaled, and integrated directly into the product loop
You will take ownership of the backend architecture required to support autonomous AI agents and complex, asynchronous creative workflows that act on behalf of the user
You will solve novel challenges in handling media-heavy payloads (4K video and audio) at a massive scale, ensuring performant experiences for high-end creative work
You will move beyond standard REST APIs to build low-latency systems for real-time video generation and editing
Qualification
Required
6+ Years of Engineering Experience: With a proven track record of shipping impactful, user-focused products
Deep Systems Fluency: Mastery of Python, with hands-on expertise in containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), cloud infrastructure, and a strong understanding of security, authentication, and best practices for designing user-facing APIs
Product-Centricity: You care deeply about the end-user experience and understand that backend architecture is only as good as the product capabilities it enables
New Development: Your background demonstrates a history of creating, launching, and building new systems rather than primarily refactoring or migrating existing ones. You thrive in ambiguity and prefer shipping new features
High Agency: Whether you have been a founder or an early engineer at a high-growth product startup, you are comfortable owning the stack from the database to the API contract
Research Collaboration: You understand that in a full-stack AI Lab, the backend engineer influences the research. You want to be in the room where the product and model are designed together
Preferred
Full Stack Versatility (Optional): While this is a backend-focused role, proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (specifically React and TypeScript) is highly valued. We appreciate engineers who understand the full product lifecycle and can operate end-to-end when necessary
