Responsibilities

Assisting with the implementation of visual communication projects to ensure consistency with established branding standards, and development of outreach materials to engage the public
Assisting with the designs and production of communication materials to support department air quality and transportation outreach goals, including logos, flyers, presentations, advertisements, and digital graphics
Contributing to department branding efforts by applying and reinforcing a consistent visual identity across communication products and providing guidance to program areas on branding standards
Coordinating with program areas to understand outreach objectives and recommending design formats, visual approaches, and brand integration strategies for effective public communication
Supporting and assisting with the implementation of public education campaigns by designing visual assets, collaborating with team members, and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with outreach goals and timelines
Contributing to department publications by planning, designing, and providing layout, visual strategy, and creative input to enhance accessibility and engagement
Assisting with graphic design projects from concept through completion, including setting timelines, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and ensuring materials meet organizational standards of quality and consistency

Required

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Strong communication, both verbal and written
Detail-oriented, highly organized, creative, with an ability to manage multiple assignments/tasks and work well in a deadline-driven environment without diminishing quality of work
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree
Over one year of work-related experience
