Responsibilities

This individual will primarily perform analysis and design activities on traffic projects but may be required to assist other departments as needed
Projects will primarily be located in the mid-Atlantic region but may also include occasional assignments for projects outside of the region
The successful candidate will work closely with his/her supervisor and more experienced project managers, engineers and designers

Required

Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field required, focus in Traffic preferred
0 to three (3) years' experience in transportation and/or traffic analysis, engineering and design to include maintenance of traffic, signing, markings and signals; previous internship or co-op preferred
Engineer in Training (EIT) strongly desired

Preferred

Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation strongly desired
Experience with HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic and Sidra software desired
Experience with travel demand model software such as Cube considered a plus
Experience with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) considered a plus
Innovative, strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow professionally
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as an integral part of a design team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
