Graduate Assistant-Full time (20 hours per week) 4 positions available
Marshall University School of Pharmacy is seeking Graduate Assistants to support faculty and assist students in the H.E.L.P. Program. The role involves providing academic tutoring, developing study strategies, and facilitating accommodations for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one academic tutoring to teach and reteach concepts to H.E.L.P. students
Offer assistance with developing study strategies
Work with students to develop a plan that fits the student’s individual needs
Assist students in developing a schedule for study sessions
Clarify/augment student notes from lecture
Teach concepts using multi-sensory techniques to maximize student understanding and recall
Teach organization and time managements skills
Monitor students’ progress through communication with students and professors
Send legal notification to professors regarding students’ with disabilities and accommodations
Organize and facilitate testing accommodations according to students’ diagnosis for compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act and Vocational Rehabilitation Act
Proctor exams under the supervision of staff monitor
Maintain student attendance records
Notify students and parents regarding students’ absences from tutoring sessions
Write End of Semester Reports for each student
Participate in weekly tutor training and development sessions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Must be able to perform duties as described in the job description
