Responsibilities
Be a strong integrator who prioritizes well and communicates effectively
Operate as a hands-on technical leader: diving deep into complex engineering challenges, making high-judgment decisions, and driving clarity across ambiguous problem spaces
Lead and actively participate in test planning and tools reviews, aligning teams across your organization towards coherent strategies and best practices
Define and own the technical strategy for automated testing using diverse technical solutions including Generative AI
Define and implement mechanisms to raise the quality bar at scale and solve endemic issues
Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience
Provide mentorship to engineers, raising the bar on design, code quality, and operational excellence
Actively participate in employee hiring and development process
Qualification
Required
8+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
Experience leading large teams of Software Quality and Design Assurance Engineers across complicated cross-discipline programs
Experience defining and owning the technical strategy for automated testing using diverse technical solutions including Generative AI
Experience with JIRA, Zephyr, Appium and other common tools
Experience with software engineering practices & patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, CI/CD, testing, and production operations
Preferred
Experience participating in employee hiring and development process
Experience diving deep into complex engineering challenges, making high-judgment decisions, and driving clarity across ambiguous problem spaces
Experience providing quality and test guidance horizontally across a broad number of teams from large scale multi-surface service development to mobile applications and native in-car experiences
