Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of material handlers to ensure smooth internal logistics operations
Plan and allocate material handling tasks to support production schedules and warehouse needs
Oversee the internal movement of raw materials, WIP (Work-in-Progress), and finished goods between storage and production areas
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling, storage, and transport
Track material movements using ERP or WMS systems and maintain inventory accuracy
Conduct regular inventory checks and investigate discrepancies
Train, coach, and evaluate material handling staff to maintain performance and compliance with safety regulations
Maintain proper use and care of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance material flow and reduce waste or downtime
Report logistics performance metrics and issues to the Logistics Manager

Required

High School diploma/GED required
3+ years of experience in internal logistics, warehouse operations, supply chain or related field, including 2 years of supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of material handling procedures, inventory management, and logistics workflows
Experience using SAP or WMS systems
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States

Preferred

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
Forklift license or material handling equipment knowledge
