They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer with a strong background in manual and CNC machining to program and operate 3-axis CNC machines and ensure high-quality output. Responsibilities
Program and operate 3-axis CNC machines using Mastercam or Fusion 360 software
Operate manual vertical mills and surface grinding machines with a high degree of precision
Interpret and work from 2D and 3D blueprints
Apply strong knowledge of cutting tools and materials to optimize machining performance and tool life
Edit and modify G-code for improved efficiency and accuracy during machining operations
Utilize Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure part accuracy and quality standards
Stay current with the latest machining practices, techniques, and technologies to maintain high-quality output
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistent and safe machine operations
Provide training and mentorship to other team members as needed
Estimate time and resources required for machining projects and assist with planning and scheduling
Qualification
Required
Proven proficiency in Mastercam or Fusion 360 for 3-axis CNC programming
Hands-on experience with manual vertical milling and surface grinding
Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
Ability to edit G-code directly and make necessary adjustments
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude
Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
10+ years of CNC experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality assurance methodologies
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team
Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and a self-starting attitude
Preferred
Highschool diploma or GED preferred
Certification in Mastercam
Associate in science of Machining & Technology or Certificate in Achievement of Machining & Technology or equivalent
