Responsibilities
Design roadways in accordance with AASHTO and NYSDOT specifications and CADD Standards using Bentley Open Roads, Open Bridge, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Develop design plans and calculations, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
Prepare engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos, feasibility studies, Concept Design Reports, Design Exception Reports, and Preliminary Engineering Reports
Perform field work and support construction phase services
Work alongside experienced practitioners to expand your knowledge
Qualification
Required
Experience with Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer, and / or AutoCAD Civil 3D
Ability to work with Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, Projectwise
Understanding of civil engineering design concepts for grading, drainage, earthwork, roads, bridges, and culverts
Strong communication, coordination, time management, and organizational skills
Detail oriented and ability to remain focused
Ability to work as a member of a team
Civil engineering technician/technology diploma from a recognized community or technical college or the ability to demonstrate sufficient knowledge received from previous experience
0 to 3 years of experience in engineering consulting or construction industry
