Responsibilities
Execute precision mechanical design for custom industrial systems using 3D and 2D CAD
Develop detailed 3D models and mechanical designs using SolidWorks and create install drawings using AutoCAD (2D)
Utilize Navisworks to perform interference checks and ensure designs fit seamlessly within the factory and installation environment
Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawing packages, and assemblies in collaboration with engineers and project teams
Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA) and company guidelines, supporting projects from conception through final system startup
Qualification
Required
Associate of Science (A.S.) Degree in Mechanical Design or a related field is required
Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modeling) and AutoCAD (2D drafting) is mandatory
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and excellent problem-solving skills
Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
Preferred
1-2 years of experience is preferred in industrial drawing, sheet metal design/fabrication, and SolidWorks
Experience or background in industrial air pollution control systems or HVAC design is relevant and preferred
