Lead CMM Specialist/Quality Technician

Responsibilities

Operate and program CMM equipment to measure parts with precision and accuracy
Inspect, troubleshoot, and analyze production components to ensure adherence to specifications
Support development, implementation, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality throughout the department
Lead and mentor the quality team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Maintain On-Time Delivery (OTD) by ensuring quality processes support production timelines
Collaborate with process engineering, production, and other departments to address quality-related challenges and improve processes
Perform root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues, as needed
Maintain detailed records of quality inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Ensure tools and measurement equipment are calibrated and in optimal condition
Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality standards, efficiency, and departmental performance
Conduct training sessions for staff on CMM operation, quality standards, and adherence to SOPs to ensure consistent quality practices

Required

CMM experience is a must, including programming, operation, and troubleshooting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail
Experience in quality systems, tools, and methodologies such as ISO standards, Six Sigma, or similar
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a leadership mindset
Ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive quality improvements
A degree in a related field is a plus but not required—relevant work experience will be highly valued
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available

Preferred

Proficiency in quality-related software and systems
Familiarity with precision manufacturing processes and tools
Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
