They are seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to support various infrastructure projects related to water and wastewater, assisting with project administration and technical tasks.

Responsibilities

Assisting in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports

Assisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling, and evaluating project data, preparing reports, and performing calculations for design projects

Gaining exposure and performing basic tasks in CAD, GIS, and other design programs

Performing construction observations and assisting with field work, as needed

Working with engineering modeling software that may include CAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and InfoWorks ICM, or other water related programs

Completing other engineering/administrative duties as required

Required

Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken civil and/or environmental engineering courses

Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction

Willingness to learn

In progress toward earning a bachelor's degree (minimum) in civil or environmental engineering or related field

Specific coursework or exposure to one or more of the following: Planning, design, construction of infrastructure, and construction management, process/environmental engineering
