Responsibilities
Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures, as needed
Act as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects, as needed
Delegate to and mentor junior staff, as needed
Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
Previous experience designing and creating plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred
Registered Professional Engineer in Washington or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months
Minimum of 5 years' experience designing and supporting implementation of pipeline, pump station and/or treatment projects
Master's degree
Software knowledge: AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Office; scheduling software, hydraulic or process modeling software experience a plus
Active in area water/wastewater industry associations is a strong plus
