Responsibilities
Oversees all timely reporting and accurate fiscal record keeping for all grants in compliance with federal and state regulations and other grantor requirements
Collaborates with program services personnel to ensure that organizational policies and procedures meet 2 CFR 200 OMB Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost
Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards
Assists with the development of written budgets for new grant applications in collaboration with program service personnel
Keeps up to date through professional development and conferences on OMB federal grant 2 CFR 200 and single audit requirements
Responsible for preparation, review and coordination of single audit work with external and internal auditors
Responsible for the proper utilization of software programs and tools to support grant budgeting, management, accounting for grant costs, accurate and timely preparation of invoices, and collection of accounts receivables for all grants
Monitors grant expenses and resources and report variances and trend information to program services personnel, the Director of Finance and Accounting, and senior management as requested
Manages the grant disbursement process and reconciliation of fund balances to the general ledger
Performs other general accounting duties as directed
Creates annual budgets per grant guidelines in collaboration with program managers
Supervises Grant Accountant and assists in creation of development plans and goals

Qualification
Required
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Must have strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Must possess versatility, discretion and good interpersonal skills with ability to work with a variety of diverse people, providing excellent customer service
Must have the proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
Must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Must be able to manage long periods of sitting, and the ability to lift to 15 lbs
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Must have valid driver's license and insurance
Bachelor's degree in business required, preferably in accounting or finance
Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in grant accounting and single audits required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and Outlook
Solid grasp of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for nonprofit organizations
Demonstrated experience in the oversight of complex grant and contract agreements
Preferred
Dynamics GP software experience is preferred
