The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce is offering an internship opportunity at LD&B Insurance and Financial Services. The intern will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of an independent insurance agency and will work through a detailed training plan to complete various tasks while aligning with the organization's values.

Responsibilities

Earn a Property and Causality Insurance agent license by the end of the paid 13-week program!

Emphasis on workplace readiness and preparation

Dive into all aspects of an independent insurance agency

Hands on learning with team members across the agency

Gain experience with successful sales and marketing strategies!

Pursue a variety of training material from Erie Insurance Agency and LD&B

Other duties as assigned

Complete a variety of training material from Erie Insurance Agency and LD&B

Learn and understand agency-wide material through means of virtual training, as well as self-study options during the internship program

Assist in daily tasks and projects that will support team members throughout the organization

Develop a well-rounded understanding of organizational guidelines, protocols, and documentation

Become accustomed to different types of system software and tools that are used throughout LD&B

Obtain a P&C agent/producer license by the end of the internship program

Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance

Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success and consistently demonstrate our BLUEprint values every day

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail

Expert level verbal and written communication skills

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and to understand and adhere to all requirements related to information security, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
