Responsibilities

Oversee efforts to design, develop, implement, and evaluate national level policy, including strategies, plans, rulemaking documents, public notices, guidance, training, and technical assistance
Lead oversight efforts of regulated stakeholders and carries out reviews, audits, or examinations to determine compliance with applicable laws and agency regulations
Interact directly with internal departmental, interagency, and civic working groups and stakeholders, to address cross-cutting issues
Participate in the design and development of research and data analysis products using quantitative and qualitative analytic techniques
Develop and deliver guidance and technical assistance to stakeholders to advance policy implementation

Required

You must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for consideration
You must meet specialized experience to qualify
Required documents must be submitted by the closing date

Experience with leading the evaluation of a program for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Experience independently developing policies, strategies, plans, rules, regulations, or guidance
Experience independently delivering presentations and training to internal and external stakeholders and conveying agency policies to stakeholder groups
Knowledge of procedures for assessing evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance
Formulate effective strategies consistent with the business and competitive strategy of the organization in a global economy
Knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques used to identify, engage, influence, and monitor relationships with individuals and groups connected to a work effort
You must complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed)
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for the Selective Service
You may be required to complete a background/security investigation and meet preliminary requirements prior to onboarding
This position involves travel. A government contractor-issued travel card will be issued and must be retained for official business only
Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in the competitive or excepted service in the executive branch to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions contained in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F
