Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product and Design teams to deliver solutions that provide real value to our merchants

Design, build, and maintain systems and APIs that scale to handle high traffic

Debug and resolve software issues with a problem-solving mindset

Own tasks related to unit tests, merge requests, and production releases

Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle including stand-ups, code reviews, retrospectives, and estimations

Contribute to discussions on user stories and requirements

Share progress updates aligned with delivery and launch dates

Partner with teammates to resolve incidents and bugs efficiently

Keep product documentation up to date and relevant

Qualification

Required

3+ years of front-end development experience, ideally within SaaS, ecommerce, or Shopify ecosystems

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3

Experience with React (or a similar modern JavaScript framework)

Familiarity with Shopify Polaris (Shopify's React component library) and Shopify App Bridge for building embedded app experiences

Understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs, including integration with Shopify's Admin and Storefront APIs

Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and accessibility principles

Comfortable with Git and modern development workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices for web apps

Preferred

Bonus: experience with Liquid (for theme integrations), Shopify Functions, or Hydrogen/Remix for custom storefront work

Familiarity with Shopify Flow and how apps can integrate with Flow triggers and actions is an asset
