Senior LevelArborSys Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Geneticist to join Shodair Children’s Hospital's growing genetics team. This role is critical for the evaluation, diagnosis, counseling, and management of patients with genetic and hereditary conditions across Montana.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret genetic tests, and deliver accurate diagnoses using evidence-based practices
Provide clear, compassionate counseling on genetic conditions, test results, inheritance patterns, and available care options
Create and oversee personalized treatment plans, collaborate with specialists, and provide ongoing follow-up care
Order and analyze molecular, chromosomal, and biochemical genetic tests in alignment with current guidelines
Partner with internal and external healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care
Stay current in the field, contribute to research, participate in professional development, and support educational efforts
Navigate ethical concerns with sensitivity and maintain accurate, compliant medical records
Engage in quality improvement and provide outreach services across Montana, including regular overnight travel
Qualification
Required
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Current or eligible Montana medical license
Board certified or board eligible in Medical Genetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG)
Excellent diagnostic skills
Strong communication and counseling abilities
Collaborative mindset
Sensitivity to patient and family needs
Preferred
Previous experience in a clinical genetics setting
