RN Clinical Adjunct Faculty - Internal Medicine and ENT/Plastics

Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care
Implement and monitor patient care plans
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
Monitor and document condition and effectiveness of care and/or interventions
Evaluate, update and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs
Assess the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural issues and other special concerns
Provide teaching and educational material as appropriate
Oversight for nursing students as nursing clinical adjunct faculty when not providing direct patient care
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Current unencumbered state or multistate compact licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Two years of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
Preferred

Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN)
