Responsibilities
Develops an understanding of the business and the Staff Accountant role
Develops technical skills both on the job and through formal learning channels
Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks
Builds working relationships at peer client level
Seeks to gain knowledge of client businesses
Effectively documents work
As a member of the team - implements solutions for clients
Identifies task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner
Demonstrates an active interest in the business world by keeping abreast of market trends and business developments
Builds strong team relationship skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Bachelors or Masters in Accounting or Tax
2+ years of tax experience
Advanced knowledge and experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and QBO)
Ability to embrace technology and willingness to learn new software applications
Annual accounting services (1099, W-2 preparation, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Positive Attitude, team player, desire for growth, adaptable and exemplary client service
Preferred
Experience with Engagement, CCH Axcess is strongly desired
