Responsibilities
Inspect and document findings for incoming, In-process and final inspection parts
Inspect firearms manufactured, assembled, or repaired in the manufacturing area or by outside vendors
Identifies and documents any mistakes or problems associated with the items being inspected
Maintains accurate records of all items inspected
Submits reports to the Quality Manager regarding quality and items inspected
Utilizes basic test equipment such as calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, CMM, Keyence, Rockwell Testers
Progressively improves upon and maintains acceptable inspection numbers in accordance with Company standards
Always stays on task with assigned duties
Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company
Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times
Maintains and keeps workstation and department area clean
Complete all required paperwork timely and accurately
Adhere to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company
Immediately report any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisor
Maintain respect, courtesy, a positive attitude and professionalism towards all co-workers and the Company
Other duties will be assigned, as required
Qualification
Required
Proficient with standard measurement tools, height stands, calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators
Understanding and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
Experience in reading Engineer drawings
Interact effectively with a variety of people
General mechanical ability is required
Possess sound problem-solving skills to help facilitate solutions to problems identified during the inspection process
Proficient in using Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong understanding of Trigonometry and Mathematics
Able to do a full layout of dimensional features
Ability to follow directions and prioritize accordingly
Preferred
Keyence, CMM calypso/zeiss
Experience with ERP system use
