The Operational Team Lead (Material Handling) will oversee and guide a team of material handling employees to achieve goals and maintain high standards of logistics practices.

Responsibilities
Lead logistic activities to ensure all inbound and outbound material
Ensure safe practices and compliance for the operations of all powered industrial trucks
Partner with the Leadership on material handling needs and execution
Collaborate with other area leads and supervisors to facilitate cross-training opportunities; develop employee knowledge in multiple skill sets
Implement work instructions to ensure employee knowledge and accuracy is up to date
Collaborate with purchasing, production scheduler, and shipping to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts
Effectively communicate maintenance issues and repair and replace consumables as needed
Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skill sets
Serve as the initial point of contact and primary support resource for employees, functioning as the first line of defense in addressing and resolving various issues they may encounter
Perform other related or non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent and/or a combination of experience and education required
Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing and/or distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities required
Highly proficient at operating Powered Industrial Trucks
Preferred
3-5 years in distribution setting with some leadership responsibilities preferred
