They are seeking an LVN to serve as a Trauma Registrar, responsible for data entry and maintenance of the Trauma Registry while also assisting in patient care within the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

Serve as Trauma Registrar

Maintain an accurate database for performance improvement activities

Assist with performance improvement activities, information requests, quality improvement studies

Conduct research on projects as requested

Support MCHD’s organizational culture of Service Excellence

Facilitate education for the ED staff related to trauma care data

Assist in customer service

Assist in patient care as necessary

Qualification

Current Texas LVN licenseProficient in computer skillsMicrosoft applicationsCurrent CPRACLS certificationBi-lingualEffective communication

Required

LVN with minimum of 3 years nursing experience

At least one of these years must have occurred in the last 12 months

Proficient in computer skills, Microsoft applications and presentations

Completion of required regulatory training within 12 months of employment

Current CPR

ACLS within 6 months of employment

Current Texas LVN license

Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team

Preferred

Preferred clinical experience in acute care

Bi-lingual preferred
