RBC is a leading global bank, and they are seeking an Analyst in the Debt Capital Markets Natural Resources Group. The role involves supporting senior bankers in investment-grade debt transactions and acting as a strategic advisor to clients with tailored origination and financing strategies.

Responsibilities
Assist in executing RBC’s Investment Banking activities, including capital raising and capital structure advisory for debt-related products
Generate and maintain client presentations including market updates and pitch materials
Analyze fixed income fundamentals and macroeconomic trends to develop client recommendations. Manipulate datasets into a visual manner
Collaborate with Syndicate, Sales & Trading, Corporate Banking, M&A, Risk Solutions (Interest Rate and FX derivatives) and product-agnostic coverage Investment Banking to produce internal and client-facing materials
Support senior officers in executing debt transactions, including managing internal processes, approvals, and client deliverables under tight deadlines
Compile and synthesize investment-grade bond issuance data into client-friendly content
Prepare and distribute indicative pricing information, market commentary, and economic updates for clients
Manage ad hoc client requests and projects
Collaborate with external professionals, such as lawyers, accountants, etc
Qualification
Required
1+ years of previous experience in investment banking, capital markets, debt advisory, rating agency, corporate finance, or related field
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Math or related field required
Strong understanding of capital markets; interest in investment-grade debt and the Natural Resources sector, including trends in the Power, Utilities, Energy and Metals & Mining sectors
Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to collaborate across cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Bloomberg
Strong presentation and project management skills
Series 7, 63, 79, SIE certification
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to go above and beyond
