Responsibilities
Performing major and minor repairs on equipment or systems by utilizing a wide range of craft skills (for example, electronics, networking, electrical, mechatronics, and robotics); inspecting, operating, or testing equipment or systems to diagnose problems; dismantling equipment, machines, or systems to gain access to and remove defective parts; diagnosing problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary; utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment; providing prompt response to emergency calls; and documenting repair activities
Following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines to perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety and proper functionality of equipment or systems
Inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment or systems
Observing and documenting signs of wear and tear
Recommending repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs
Determining replacement needs and documenting preventive maintenance activities
Managing work orders and maintenance schedules by completing and submitting required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs)
Ordering and tracking parts and replacement equipment and recording purchases and usage
Ensuring quality work is completed that complies with federal, state, and local regulations
Ensuring contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements
Qualification
Required
Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade
5 years' experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade
Need to have a valid Driver's License
1-3 years of experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
General Industrial Maintenance knowledge
Preferred
Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
