Responsibilities
Source, develop, and manage a portfolio of commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial loans (This individual would also inherit a portfolio)
Analyze creditworthiness of borrowers through detailed financial analysis, underwriting, and risk assessment
Structure loan terms, prepare credit presentations, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain active networking and prospecting to identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
Monitor loan performance, identify potential risks, and manage portfolio quality
Collaborate closely with credit, operations, and leadership teams to support sound credit decisions and deliver an exceptional client experience
Represent the bank in the community and participate in local networking, business groups, and events
Qualification
Required
3+ years of direct commercial lending experience (community bank or regional bank experience preferred)
Experience with commercial real estate lending required
Demonstrated ability to source, structure, and manage commercial loan relationships
Strong financial analysis skills, including experience reviewing tax returns, financial statements, cash flow, and collateral
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Preferred
Formal credit training, or equivalent experience in commercial underwriting or credit analysis, is strongly preferred
Knowledge of local Corpus Christi market is a plus
