Responsibilities
The SVP for Marketing Communications serves as the University’s chief marketing communications officer, leads the Office of Marketing Communications to advance the Mercer brand, and serves as principal spokesperson
Chairs the University Marketing Committee, composed of marketing communications professionals in other University units on all campuses/centers, to ensure coordinated brand messaging and achieve University brand strategies
Serves on the President’s Cabinet and as liaison to the Board of Trustees Marketing Committee
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field is required
Ten years of progressive leadership experience in a comparable role
Exceptional writing and communications skills
Ability to lead teams to achieve marketing and branding objectives
Preferred
Candidates with a master's or doctorate in a related field and/or prior experience in higher education are preferred
